    POS exhaust mani

So I replaced my clutch this weekend(fuck starter bolts btw) and everything went fine. except when i was putting my exhaust back on.

One of the mani studs snapped and another one stripped out so now my exhaust is leaking. My state inspection is coming up so i need to get this fixed. My question is, will the exhaust manifold from a 325e fit onto a 325i head? seeing how i have a spare one sitting in my back yard it would be really convenient if it did.

    Thanks guys

It would fit on the head.

It would work. I have a set of 325i exhaust manifolds if you are up in Vienna.

Why do you need a new exhaust manifold if you just snapped/stripped a stud?

The e and i manifolds will interchange but they are a bit different so your exhaust may not bolt up too easily, if at all.

The exhaust will bolt right up, no issues.

The castings are of slightly different shape but I think all the interfaces were the same.

Why just not get two studs and replace the ones that busted? PB blaster and a stud remover or pipe wrench (~$20) is all you need.
