88 325i engine into 85 325e---questions

I am transplanting a m20b25 into an 85 that had a m20b27. The 85 DOES NOT have the big electrical connector on the firewall that all the others do. Anyone run into this before? Whats the solution?

Well you will have to get someone to do the wiring convertion for you.

It depends I have never done a motor swap. Mine was just a plug and play, 3.5L motor bolts into an e30 and plugs right in.

rs4---when i searched i found a great message you wrote on the c104, but not the c101.

I'm in the process of doing the matching with the ETM, but it would be nice to see if what I come up with is right. At least its only going to be 10-20 wires.
