    U-Wrench in SoCal?

I live in an apartment complex with pretty much no space to work on my car.

So as I was scouring the interwebz for a place to paint my car (myself), I came across what's known as "U-Wrench" which are pretty much places that rent out fully equiped (with lifts, hoists, and all) service bays/paint booths etc. for a very reasonable cost.

Only problem was that it was in Canada. Does anyone know of any DIY-garage style business in the socal area?

until you consider the ridiculous insurance you'd have to get to cover the liability of a bunch of dumbshits not knowing how to work on their own cars WORK ON THEIR OWN CARS

my friends and I thought about it a long time ago, it ended up not working out because of the way USA works when it comes to liability

There's actually an Air Force Base nearby. I'm not sure if it's still active or not. I was there one year for a 4th of July firework show. Biggest empty, flat, parking lot I've ever seen.

It would not work in socal. To many unscrupulous people. Could you imagine your overhead on replacing all the tools that people swipe. Either that or you have to go through every tool chest you have after each person is done. What a nightmare.
