Damn, nice work! I use SolidWorks on occasion and I can really appreciate how much time you have into that!

        Here is the latest...:p

Getting a little more confident with solid works, this isn't even for uni, just my own personal pleasure

A work in progress of course.
(All the dimensions are as near as possible with out me actually having a wheel to measure)

        C+C welcome as always ;)

If anyone can assist with dimensions, either via photos or text, please post info here:

Wow dude thats awesome! I can appreciate how much time is into that stuff. I had to make a puzzle cube 3x3x3 with 1 cm blocks. 4-5 parts consisting of 4 or more blocks. Pretty fun i guess.

I dont think i could pull off a BBS RS though!!! Looks great

So that makes about 1.5 valves per cylinder! yay! jk
(racing dynamic did a 24v prototype didn't they?)

As for the modeling NX5, SW, Catia, Pro E and Inventor are all
good programs autocad and rhino not so much...

And that second rim is hot!

Diggin the new center man, I love wheels since they are symmetric and go pretty quickly once you get one section done.

It depends on what your goals are. All of those programs are good, they are simply used for different things. sw/inventor are good for mechanical parts of a car, but try making the body (which maybe you can do in autocad/inventor now since it is integrated w/ 3ds and has some nurbs capability) Ofcourse the most important thing to remember here is it's all personal (or client) preference.

Sorry for the mini-rant, but I can't stand it when people generalize ANY program as bad or junk or it can't do this or that basic function when they don't understand what they're talking about.
