    1984 Hartge H23

The car is no longer for sale. Sorry.

Well, I didn't see this coming but here it is. I'm selling the Hartge. This car is still very much a project but at least now it has the correct wheels and a good afm. I have kind of fallen out of love with the car honestly. I also have another project car that I have the option to buy. I thought long and hard about it and I just can't have both. The car is still damaged on the side. I have a good used door and fender included with the sale. The drivers seat is still fubar. The car needs a lot of love and it deserves it. I'm not going to sell it to just anyone with cash either. It needs to go to an enthusiast with the financial ability and the drive to finish the car. I'm not looking to make any money on this car, just get back what I have in it. I'm looking for $4500 firm. I think that is very fair. I have nearly $8,000 dollars in receipts of maintenance work done in the last 20K. A little info on the car, its a 1984 Gray Market Hartge H23. It was based off of the 323i. The mods done by Hartge consist of everything from its own head with its own cam, to full suspension, aero parts, exhaust, interior pieces, wheels, and much more. The exhaust is not correct for the car. When I bought it the exhaust was shot. I had a single exhaust ran from the Hartge headers back to a silencer to a new muffler with the Hartge tip welded on. I still have the Hartge muffler but it needs to be redone. So like I said, this is a project. If you think you are up to the job, then convince me you are the one for the car and bring $4500 bucks. Lots of pictures and info here,

Wow, just wow. First the 2002, now the Hartge? Must be something quite interesting developing on the horizon. Best of luck to you with this.

Are you going to sell you r3v ID next? LOL, what's happening dude?

Price too steep though. But that's just me, I buy e30's for straight body, lol.

Good luck with sale, hope someone here picks her up and restores.

You have to tell us what you plan to buy before I can say if you're out of your mind for selling this car. Good luck with the sale, at that price I'm sure someone will snatch it up.
          Reminiscing...

Thanks guys. Something is on the horizon. I'm not going to just give it away but I'll tell you this, it starts with an A and ends with PINA. I drove the car to work today and cleaned it up. I am going to miss it. It really is a good little car. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country right now. Runs great and handles amazingly. Just needs to be gone through and have some time and money spent on it. Someone come and get it!

Tavern Gnome you are the "official" R3vlimited car whore now...

                :D

Good luck with the sell. The Hartge is a nice example of history that needs to be properly restored and maintained. I will pass the word around...

I think I'm counting with the "speedbump" car you had for like a day or two as well.
