For sale is an entire driveline from a very well-looked-after 1988 BMW 535is.
*** the e28 shell and all other parts are long since gone / parted out (unless you need door panels.. i have a clean tan set) ***
I have been accumulating parts for swapping the "big six" 3.4L into my e30 3-series. My plans have changed, so if some other e30 owner would like to pick things up, I have the whole shebang out in the garage.
m30b34 engine -- $350
- had an easy life mated to an automatic transmission until a manual swap was completed 5-6k miles ago
- 16x,xxx miles on the engine
- car was owned for previous 7 years by a BMW mechanic. This engine powered his daily driver, and he did the manual swap himself.
- all ancillaries included : airbox, intake, exhaust manifolds, alternator, etc
- new water pump @ time of manual swap
- engine ran perfectly prior to being extracted from the car
Getrag 265 5sp transmission -- $350
- has z3 short shifter installed
- fresh clutch @ transmission swap 5-6k miles ago
- will fit the e30 m3, the e28 and e34 5-series cars, and several 6- and 7-series applications
- includes (removable) bellhousing for mounting to M30-type engines
Various other associated parts :
- e28 driveshaft for g265 transmission
- e28 535is radiator
- 059 ECU/DME with performance chip
- e28 rear half-shafts (axle shafts) from 535is
... plus many goodies for completing the e30-m30 swap:
