I meant to type 4 quarts oil, my fat finger mashed 3.

Well I dropped my oil pan today and found this:



It is plastic/metal so I am assuming it is part of an old chain guide?

holy crap... sorry I didnt see this thread sooner, I was going to say drop lower pan and make sure nothing is blocking the pick up....I was thinking it could have been upper pan bolts, but that there would do it too!
