Starting this thread to note the new beginning for Guten.
We recognize that none of the of growth would be possible if it wasn't for the support of the community. Thank you for your support.
Early this morning we launched the new site. Long time coming. Special thanks to Mark for taking bits and pieces of feedback and piecing together an amazing site which will serve as our foundation going forward. Check out the new site, signup for the mailing list so you can keep to date. We have many exciting additions coming over the next several weeks:
E-commerce Function - for new and used parts with shopping cart capabilities.
GSpot - Live camera feed to the shop so you can see what the gang is up to.
Iphone and Droid apps - be the first to know about incoming rare parts and special deals through our suppliers.
More Suppliers - from small one off products to larger suppliers to create a one stop shop for all your needs.
Various other functions.
While greater web presence is important, we recognize the shop is the heart of Guten. Anyone that has been to the shop knows the unique "candy store" / "man cave" feel. The plan is to move to a significantly larger space couple of blocks down the road February 1st. In our current location we can't meet the service/maintenance demand, turning away significant business as many know. This new location will allow to go from a single lift to 3 lifts, offer additional storage for larger inventory and the much needed additional space for routine maintenance and long term builds.
Space alone is nothing if we don't have the right people doing the work. Shortly we will make another announcement the newest additions to the Guten family.
In addition to the growth on the East Coast, we have plans to open a location in Northern California Late 2011. More details to follow on this.
