Need some help on electrical troubleshooting

Ok so I just finished putting a 13 button obc into my car. Everything was cool except for on reasembly, the key was in the 1 position and when I plugged my defroster switch back in, i heard a zizzing and kinda was like wtf...

I finish the reasemble, and here are my problems:

    1. My defroster button isnt lighting up, the defroster itself works, but the switch isnt lighting up.

Should I just replace the switch?

    2. (MOST IMPORTANT) My temp sensor is reading the -22* meaning its not working. Did i fry the sensor?? Do I need a new one? And how are the defroster and temp related?

Thanks in advance for the help!

sounds like you should have unhooked negative terminal on battery. replace switch, probably just burned it out. go buy george graves temp sensor. if not i may have one laying around somewhere. actually, the three of you should buy his. lol
