E30 46mm strut housings -pair
Got a pair of E30 46mm strut housings for sale or trade for 51mm pair. No shocks. Probably off an 84 to 85 318i. Located in Tulsa, OK area. $100 obo.

noob question, but whats the advantage of the 46mm strut housing, lowered front end more than stock ?

The 46mm strut housing is just off of the earlier e30s.

Yep. My 91 318iS must have been curbed once and someone just replaced the struts with what they could find. 46mm is the inside diameter of the tube. Easily recognizable as the gland nut that holds the shock insert screws inside the strut whereas the 51mm strut has external threads and the nut screws on the outside. I put a $ number up without any idea what they are worth. Shoot an offer if anyone's interested. Geo

These are actually 51mm struts with internal threads in the tubes. I was unaware that the dimension is actually the outside of the housing. Still asking just $100 obo.
