"being married means seeing how long you can go... without that"- a Line from the American Pie movie. After dating for 4 years and being married for 2, I can say... yes, Marriage does mean that you must endure long periods of no sex. Periods that would've seemed unimaginable when you two were dating and fornicating ever chance possible LOL! I gave up porn (my former regular sex life: porn + right hand = daily nut achieved), when my wife (girlfriend at that time) was like "it's either the porn or me! make your choice!" Now a days I find myself digging into the files burried in the back of my mind that's still full of my favorite porn images and video clips...I miss it. As much as my wife would like to be the "I'll give you sex on demand becuz it's my job to keep my husband satisfied" type of wife, it doesn't always turn out that way.
So I googled "porn saved my marriage". Check out what one blog had:
Porn saves my marriage: My wife is everything I could want in a women expect for the fact she has a low sex drive. So instead of spending the rest of my life looking for the perfect women, I use porn to supplement my sex life and we have been happily married for 15 years.
Emily Yoffe: Thank you for pointing out a good way to compromise on mismatched sex drives and the benefits of porn. There's strange, widespread assumption that porn is the equivalent of cheating, and any porn-watching equals an obsession with porn.
what do you'all think of that dialogue? I feel guilty sometimes for missing porn, as I know it's morally wrong to support such an industry and my wife feels porn watching is the same as cheating.
