    DIY bilstein rebuild?

    anyone rebuilt a bilstein shock?

i have some b6 sprint m-technik sport shocks in need of new seals.

can anyone put some light on doing this to save paying some else?

I have the feeling this is not a DIY since you dealing with gas, pressure & seals that I dont think you can buy.

Bilstein has flat rate rebuilds for most stuff but I dont know how far you'd have to ship them.

You probably knew all this :-)
Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com

Unless you have special tools, one of them being a filling machine, you wont be able to rebuild the shock properly. Just send it to Bilstein, it's pretty reasonably priced.

Fuck it, DIY all the way.
You can probably get all four shocks rebuild in a week and do a better job than Bilstein themselves.

          /joke.

Just sent them for a rebuild.

Agreed, it's not a DIY job. Bilstein's rebuild rates are okay, but they are SLOW. Understandably, I'm sure they're swamped. But it just took me 2 months to have one PSS coilover rebuilt for a Mk2 VW.

Here in the U.S., there is no "local" guy, there's only one location in California to send them to be rebuilt. Cost me about $120 all said and done. But again, took two months time.
