I have one that Luke made about a year ago. It's still in the shipping box with the 12" woofer. I just have to buy an amp, and get rid of the trunk tar (hence the dry ice).
I guess i'll need to cut holes for the tubes as well, but no biggie.
My cars already wired, so just have to install. Yess!!!

so when I parted out my gf's car, I figure out that if I hit the tar with a hammer it just flakes off... I tried that on brody's parts car today... and no luck. but you can try and see if a hammer blow works for you.

Did you hit it with the dry ice first?
Luke told me that you get the small pellets, spread them all over your trunk, place a towel over it, and let sit for 20 minutes. Then go and smash it with a hammer. BAM!!

...or are you saying that the hammer (by itself) worked on one car, but not another?

I can do the sub and amp install for you, it's not difficult. I definitely want to figure out how to remove the trunk tar. I think we can pick up Dry Ice at the grocery store up the road, or maybe Home Depot.

Thanks! You don't have to do it FOR me... but I will accept any and all help and suggestions. Should make for some good pictures and an education for those who want to do it in the future. (who wouldn't?)

hm... interesting... I see... its all clear to me now. I did the car in the winter. subfreezing temperature thats why it worked.

Well, there's a place on the way that I can get dry ice from... on saturdays. Closed sundays.
I'll offer to bring a good amount, not sure how much it will take to do one trunk. If other people want to do theirs, that's cool, too.
Wonder how much it weighs... the tar, that is.

I say around 30 lbs ish I took mine out and they are HEAVY!

I've seen that some safeways sell it. no joke either.

I need to ditch my trunk tar sometime soon too. I carry too much crap in the back of my e30 daily to need all that.
