whoa, what posts? i know i like to present a different perspective, just for the purpose of making people think, but i wouldnt qualify my beliefs as scarry.

i was talking to, what i'd consider, a conspiracy theorist a couple years ago about stuff, mainly human race and how wasteful it is and he poured all this shit out and i soaked up a little of it. Now i dont really believe that we as a race could be so stupid as to let life slip through our fingers... then again i didnt see 9/11 coming either, like most americans, which kind of puts us into the "blind" category. And then you look at the math on topic of resources and population.... i shouldnt be considered the one coming up with the scarry shit to say.

if anyone hear really feels this is inappropriate due to the unlikelihood of tragedy, please take a step outside of our media bubble and do some research.
        yeah, i'm being dramatic :D

India states World Hunger due to US Appetite. We eat too much and are too fat, causing third world countries to starve? We should spend liposuction funds for vitamins for starving africans? I dont think so.

If you really want to freak out listen to BBC world news. There are so many wars being fought right now that it really can scare your perspective on human nature. I think you can get it on satellite radio.

No more futures trading on commodities, including oil.
No more gov't subsidies for Ethanol.

= Drastic reduction in the cost of living.

From some of the stuff I've read, if the speculative aspect was taken out of oil, it would fall to around $80-85 a barrel, still high, but not as bad as $126.

Technicaly it should be limited to two. then there is a population balance, not a decrease nor increase in total volume. China did it wrong, if each couple would balance their existance with a balanced replacment.

technically, you aren't quite replacing yourself with two children. that would cause a shrinking population, not a steady one.

So years from now my woman and i have had two children, and we both die, there is a balance on population. +2 - -2 = 0 growth.
