    Update.
20 square feet of alpha damp.
    40 foot of kicker wire
    20 ft of remote cable
Door sill pods with tweeters.(un tested)
Premium sound rear deck speaker(tweeters blown)

    Still need:
    5 channel amp
    Good front components.
    Decent rear components
    Luke's e30 8 box
    8 inch sub.
After listening to a paper cone 8 inch woofer on a friends stock audio system I'm sure a proper set up will more than please me.

Luke what subwoofer would you recommend for the box? Since I am going with an 8 I would like the best bang for the buck. And I'm assuming I would want some thing that can play the lowest frequency possible on an 8?

Well, the 8" box has this big goal of being LTW....so you can't get huge woofers in it.

The Sony 8" is brilliant, as is the Infinity, but there are several others that will do great.

I can tell you the Boston takes forever to break in, but once it does it is very impressive. There are a few Fosgates that work really well too.

Did someone say 15"? Hehehe. BTW, its on a 400w now. And yes, the guys at the bbq2u tent said they could hear it clearly. I was parked on the opposite end of the parking area. (roughly 500ft)

I've narrowed down my amp choices.
I decided that I wanted the recessed amp rack on Luke's Ltw box. This limits the amp to be under 15 inches in length. I've also set a budget to less than 250.

Finished mounting my tweets into the old sail panel.

And the same for the rear deck. Going to have to do more modifying to fit the woofer, not even close to dropping in.

I worked Valet for a swanky hotel in Downtown San Diego. Constantly scored Jove average on reviews and was talk to last month about moving up. I'm going to hang on the the stuff as long as possible. if I can get a job within the next month I should be okay. Or if my girl can get a job before me I might be Mr Mom for a while.(which is even tougher)

Picking this project back up. Was able to aquire a job fairly quick. Only out 2 weeks of work and four weeks of paychecks. So its still going to go a little slower than I had planned.

Tonight I modified the premium speaker housing to hold the larger woofers.

Used colorbond BMW black to match the housing to the rest of the car. Its a near perfect match.

You can see where I had to cut away.

                            Speakers mounted.

Screens on! There is only about two to three milimeters between the woofers outer butyl? ring. Will this allow enough movement for the woofer to function properly?

I'm pretty happy with the results. I'm only missing the amp and woofer now.

Luke can you use a DVC sub that is 4 ohm's per coil (such as the Soundstream RF-8W) for the LTW8 box?
