    318i will exhaust fit??

I have a 318i. I'm looking to buy a 3" dual muffler. I was wondering if it fit on the valance from the 318i?

you will have to cut out the opening in the rear valance to make that work

run a single 3inch. fits perfect.

Also might I add. Do not purchase that muffler. Itll sound like complete shit. Save the money and get a nice catback

        Rules for m42 exhaust
        1. do not remove the cat or resonator (itll sound like shit)
        2. no ebay garbage

For reference, this is mine. Magnaflow 2.5" dual tip, did have to cut valence to make it fit right. Built from the cat back with 2.5" pipe and a 9" glasspack. Sounds good and doesn't make it seem like I'm burning rice with my m42

If you're just adding a muffler just keep the resonator. If you're actually going to cut out the exhaust like I did you can decide what you want to do. I went with a glasspack that was less restrictive. Still keeps the sound tight and not overly raspy. Mine is magnaflow #14816 btw

no offense to shameson, but i have heard magna flow setups on at least half a dozen e30's in all sorts of configurations. in my opinion, they sound anywhere from poor to really poor. maybe for around the same price, take a look at the vibrant mufflers from voracious motor sports. i think they are about a hundred bucks.

not that this exhaust is going to be in your budget, but i have a b&b stainless cat back on my tech 2. i am really happy(ecstatic actually). i wish i could describe how sweet it sounds. there is a thread from a few years back about this very subject. i would do a search for it. there are a few sound clips also.

here is my exhaust porn. when i start the car and drive it around, i get a boner just listening to it.

None taken. Others I have heard didn't sound that good either, either too loud or too raspy. But I got mine put together by a local guy who knows his stuff and did it for me at great price and it turned out pretty good IMO. I can't complain

With that being said there are always better options, some not too much more expensive. Just do your research, there is a lot of info on here about setups
