    Removing Fuse Box.

Alright guys how do i remove a fuse box without having to fish out all the wires connecting to it and i assume there is a way to do this.

RIght now i am trying to remove a 325i wiring harness and the fuse box is trashed since it got a shock tower through it in a previous accident.

take all the fuses and relays out

remove the 3 phillips screws now visable

lift the fuse panel off the box

push the black wire retaining clips off the fuse panel

push each wire out with a jewelers flathead, the connectors have locking tabs, push the locking tab down.

ok, so i'm trying this now... i want to make sure it's the best way to do what i'm doing..

my goal is to get the fuse block out of the engine bay, because i'm painting the bay. i would rather not fish the whole car's wiring harness thru the firewall in order to pull the fuse box, so i'm interested in pulling each wire.

people paint engine bays all the time, i can't believe there's no easier way to move the box. but looking at the wires and lack of connectors, it seems this is the easiest. correct?
