    Will 318is Springs Fit a 325e?

As the title says, will 318is springs fit my 325e sedan? I know that they "technically fit" but they are still different diameter coils. So ultimately, What will the performance difference be? im looking to restore the original ride of my 325e.

    thanks all.

My best guess is a 4 cyl spring on a 6 cyl car would have a slightly lower ride height than the stock 6 cyl spring due to weight.

If you have a micrometer, you could check the spring wire diameter to see if the rates are the same or if BMW just changed the spring free length to adjust the ride height.

You drive a purple E30 and you want stock ride height?

The springs will fit, but as said above it's possible that you'll have lower than original ride height or lower spring rates. For reference, standard M42 cars got a different spring P/N than you could get for any M20, yet both share a sport spring P/N. Check out the links below and cross reference the rear spring sets to see what cars might give you what you are looking for, or just do a WTB for stock springs.

Unfortunately they won't work, as the extra 7 found in the 325 makes a significant difference. Not safe.
