M42 swap is easy, you can get one from a E36 as well.

M42 is nice, and yes, it's a pretty easy fit, but thats not what im looking for ;)
I really want to experiment with Turbocharging one day, and since this engine has compression ratio of 8.8:1 - it's the perfect candidate :)
M42 would need more modification since it's compcression ratio is 10:1.

So one day, after im really loving the look (Since that is what this car is currently for :D) i may end up Turbocharging the M40 :)

Wont be going for big numbers, probably will use modified 318tds exhaust manifold and a 325tds turbo. Will go for ~0.5bar. Should have around 124kW at the end ;) More than enough.

Oh, also, forgot to mention one of the major mods i did last month.
I finally did an LPG conversion to it :)
Dont know how common it is in US, but in Europe, it's a pretty common mod, since LPG price is twice as low as Petrol.
Ended up using BRC Sequent24 LPG system.
So now i have Petrol and LPG :)

The paint is original Diamant Schwarz Metallic, and it's code is 181.

While im at here, might aswell do an update :)

So the current state of the car is that is in ugly winter mode
So i'm just collecting parts for after-winter updates :)

Scored some nice BBS fiberglass-replica sideskirts :)





They need a little fixing, but fit absolutely awesome with the front Rieger lip :)
So these are sure going to be on the car :)

Got a new set of Taiwanese grilles, the quality is OK :)

Original E30 BBS Heckspoiler :) It is currently for sale, but if i dont sell it - it will be going on the car also ;)

Also today im getting 318ti rear trailing arms, all in preperation for 5-lug swap. Already have front 325 brakes and bearing. Just need time :)

Also got new handbrake cables and new brake lines.
Rotors are like new, but i think i will sandblast and paint the calipers.

Also today made an impulse-buy, got myself a front strut brace :)

Little update :)

The strut brace arrived, and it looks exactly like the picture i posted before :)
Apparently it's an Eibach strut brace, even thought it does not have any info written on it.

Ok so onto the original update, got some new wheels :)
These are R.O.D R15x7.5J ET13, apparently they are a copy of Roundell 0058.
Well who cares copy or not, but they are solid, straight and will look awesome.

The previous owner apperently decided that green is a perfect color to paint the whole rim into (Lip and center) and hell it was ugly.
I did try to use pain stripper on them, but in the end said f*ck it and gave them to away to have them sandblasted ;D

Current plan is to polish the lip, prime the center and i really do not know a good color for the center.. I did buy red plasti dip to try it on the center.

Any better options? I need help to decide :D

Oh, forgot to mention, best parts about the wheels - all 4 of them was only 40 Eur ;D

Got the wheels from the sandblaster :)
Still debating on the center color..

If you want to turbo it, much better with m42.. IMO
