    Reinstalling steering rack help!!!

So I'm reinstalling my steering rack and subframe right now, along with control arms, sway bar, etc...

I cannot get the splined shaft (blue) to fit in the knuckle of the swivel joint (red)

    (not my pic)

I spent like three hours trying to make it fit so far. I've tried jamming a screw driver to split it open a little wider, just smacking it with a hammer, finessing it, but I can't seem to get it.

Anyone have any advice on getting it back on

Are you able to get some of the splines in? Did you take the bolt off and pry?

They can be a total pain... I've had to tap mine on very slowly and gently with a hammer. Take the coupling off and tap in on. Really clean up the splines and file any burrs you may have created when trying to get it going.

yea, I have the bolt out and have pry-ed at it. I guess I'm just gonna have to try and spend another couple hours man handling it.
