    steering rack crush washer

So I converted to a Z3 rack, and the crush washer that goes in between the rack and the inner tie rods (the one that you hammer down onto the tie rod) will not work due to there being no slot on the rack for the tab on the washer to fit into.
Has anyone else had this issue? Would using blue Loctite on the threads do the job instead? Thanks for any input.

I believe there are two types of washers that you can use. One washer for regular e36 racks with the notch, and the other is for hydro steering racks...not 100% sure if the z3 rack is hydro or not though.

But I do know there are two types of washers. Might be worth looking into.

The reason rackdr ships his racks with inner tie rods pre installed is that there's a limit to how much torque you can apply without damaging the seals and/or bearings in the rack. He got tired of the resulting warranty claims
