Innovate lc2 throwing codes w/ new sensor

I killed my innovate lc2 a week ago running super rich, so I popped for a new sensor (for a vw) and its still throwing codes. Im pretty sure I did kill the last sensor since I drove for a couple days at a constant 10:1, but why would the new sensor not work when calibrated? I am getting error 4, pump cell open

Yes they basically asked the usual questions that I see online: grounds (im grounded with the ecu), what codes it gives during calibration, whether the connector was fully seated and if I shut off the unit completely during calibration. He said the next step was to return it for them to look at.

I have heard reflashing the firmware can clear up issues but I dont see the lc-2's firmware on innovate's website
