Offering for sale a 1991 325ix coupe for $1,600. I call her Black Betty.

Color: Black (aka Diamond Schwartz Metallic)
Mileage: 207,000+ (as usual in these models, the odometer no longer works)
Transmission: Automatic
Tires: Great shape. I’d say 75%
The good:
She had a new timing belt and water pump installed in April 2015
She had new rear brake lines installed in April 2015
She had transmission flush with new filter in June 2015
The engine has never failed to crank right up and it pulls strongly
The 4-wheel drive system is in good working order with no differential leaks or problems. Jack test video available.
Brakes seem to have a lot of meat on them.
Rare armrest option.
Heat works
Original radio in car.
Brand new battery
Complete black interior (4 seats and door/panel cards)
Working power windows
The paint is there, but rough and probably original 25 year-old paint.
Inspection good until April 2016
The not so good:
There’s rust that has to be dealt with on one of the front fenders and underneath the car.
The AC doesn’t work.
The dash is cracked.
I knew about the rust and had planned to fix it so it could be winter beater but I just bought a truck and have run out of room. That means that the oldest car had to go to make room in the driveway. I’m hoping that someone who loves these cars as much as I do will take it and either restore it or take everything they can off it to make it a great donor vehicle for another project.
To sweeten the deal I’m also including….
Over $125 of tune up parts from Pelican Parts including air filter, oil filter, spark plugs, serpentine belt, throttle housing and valve cover gasket. I have receipts for all these. Just don’t want to bother doing the work now that I’ve decided to part ways with it.
A brand new $135 battery I just picked up but have not yet installed.
These are great cars, fun to drive and bring you into a great community of BMW owners. I’ll definitely be back once I clear out some room in the garage to be able to keep it properly. Think about it this way, no matter what, worst case scenario you pick up a nice donor vehicle from which you can take the interior, the doors, trunk and hood , tires, rims, 4-wheel drive system and engine PLUS all the above parts which alone are worth over $300 for $1,600. *UPDATE: Have folks coming by today to see it. Havent started it in about 2 months. Went out, popped battery in and it started right up. Immediately. With zero drama. Only problem. I just noticed that hood is stuck. I am researching issue as we speak. Car is still driveable and still for sale.*
*UPDATE #2: I'd like to point out that a gentleman in Calgary is offering just the engine/transmission/transfer case/drive shafts of a 325ix for $1,250. I'm offering the rest of the running car, interior and exterior and brand new parts for $1,600 or best offer. Seems like a good deal, no?
