Ever wanted to go racing? Ever thought building a car was too expensive? Well, here is your opportunity to own a fully prepped car for less than the cost to install a cage! The beauty before you is a 93 VW Fox (lovingly called the Brazilian) that we raced for 2 years in the ChumpCar World Series. The Fox is super reliable and has a lot of work done to it. Being a VW - lots of parts are interchangeable from other years and makes of VW's making parts easy to find. The Fox was our first experience with building a car from scratch and competing in wheel to wheel racing. The process of building the Fox was fun and driving it was even more fun! Were able to run a full 2hrs on single tank of gas and competed for over a year on the same brake pads. Needless to say, she's easy on the wallet!

So why are we parting with the beloved Brazilian? We built a second car a few years ago and since then haven't competed with the Fox. Our team competes out of our garages and limited space means something has to go. We were keeping the Fox hoping that one day we would return her to the glory of the track but realistically we don't have the time or space to maintain and compete with two vehicles. The Fox has lead us to finishes as high as 3rd and 5th with many top ten finishes at places like VIR, Road Atlanta, Daytona, Charlotte, Nelson Ledges, and Gateway. The Fox has competed in formats ranging in length from 25hrs enduros to 45 minute sprints.

          UPDATE:
I have had several questions regarding the damage to the front end and if there is any rust. I thought I would add the details here.

          Damage:
The Fox was wrecked in T10 at VIR North Course during a 24hr race. Contact was made with a tire wall on the left front corner. The damage was limited to in front of the shock tower. The engine and the transmission were not damaged in the accident and the car was driven onto the trailer once the fender was pulled off the tire. The only mechanical causality was the radiator which has been replaced with a new one. The car was taken to a local frame shop (Pete's Alignment - Knoxville TN) and professionally straightened on a rack. The track is square. The front left rail has a few cracks that appeared during straightening. I would feel comfortable racing as is but a few stitch welds would hurt anything. Again, all the damage was before the shock tower. I have included a picture of the damage immediately after the accident.

          Rust:
The Fox is solid and what little rust was there was corrected while installing the cage. The left rear shock tower has a little rust around the hat where the top of the strut bolts in. I was planning on welding large flat washers over it to add reinforcement but never got around to it. Floor pans are original and solid, quarters are original and solid. No structural rust.
