personally I'd mount the FPR/filter up by the front frame rail like it is on the E46, and use as many of the E46 fuel line bits as possible. you could get the entire mount bracket if you wanted, but that's probably a bit overkill.

I've got the same FP swap about 85% done. just haven't trimmed the pump carrier for the sock to fit yet. also, I ran a bit of hose instead of that weird rubber thing, because it looked like it would leak. I wouldn't use zip ties to hold it on either, personally - I'd prefer some steel hose clamps. something that won't disintegrate when bathed in fuel..
    Alright I'll try that out.

As for the fuel pump, I got some fuel injection hose today so I can ditch the rubber thing. I clocked the pump so it fits pretty well but with that much pressure hoses and clamps probably are a better option. I used the zip ties because hose clamps won't fit in the tank, the zip ties barely fit themselves.

I started working on the Massive booster delete today, cut the bracket off the brake pedal and moved the pivot up, going to try to paint it and install it tomorrow night after class. Still need to find buy a non-abs master cylinder so I can bend my brake lines

hmm. hadn't thought about that. maybe one of those CV-boot clamps instead? I might have to redo mine..

Really looking forward to the outcome of this one!

                  Two questions though...
Why a dual mass flywheel and why a M3 reservoir?

I'd think because the coolant lines run similar on the S54 as they do in the E30 M3, with the coolant pipe header piece on the passenger side.

That's right! It's been a while since I've looked at one...

I know my '87 325e doesn't have it, MFG prior to 09/87 (in reference to the non-ABS master cylinder).

Will be paying close attention to this one. Thanks for documenting the swap. That first picture of your E30 is perfect. I would love to do something similar but as a street car.

Very cool. When did you go 5 lug (or is it adapters?)

                              Eliminating ABS as well?

if you want to do something really badass - convert it to the M3's MK60 DSC/ABS setup. it can be coded with CSL parameters and M-track mode so it still does independent wheel braking but doesn't have the annoying throttle control nanny that the vanilla DSC setup has.
