And I'm 95% done with body. Just a few finishing touches tomorrow. And make sure there aren't any pinholes, excess mud on the edges, etc...
and time to scuff and prime on Saturday. :)

Is your car and/or you at a body shop on Cully in Portland currently? I see a 318is on the street all the time and remembered going through your thread and recognizing the car.

yup thats where i work at that shop so its there everyday. stop by an say hi sometime

So about a month ago I checked my oil, and saw my head gasket was taking a shot. So I replaced the thermostat and the water pump in hopes I would slow down the process... ya right. Blew about 4 days ago. Took off the head.. and it's cracked in 4 spots:( I can't find one locally, :so I'm going to ship it out and have it welded.

I'll take some pictures of the head here soon, but I'm thinking since I'm already there. Just re seal the whole thing. It's at about 270k on the clock right now. And replace the rear subframe and trailing arm bushings since the car is down for about another week.

The head came back from the shop today. All welded up and resurfaced and new valve guides.
Looks so pretty all clean.

Great job so far

Took a picture before I clean it. The head is now on, and waiting for a chain tensioner as well as one more hose for the mess under the intake and it should be good. Removed the ac condenser and bracket as well
