What is everyone doing to get rid of the chrome accent around the door/windows? Replacing , paint? If you painted yours throw up some pictures and what you used.

Some use paint others use plastidip. I painted mine on my first e30. Kind of regretted it later cause the chrome looked better.

My favorite match to OEM is SEM Trim paint. Comes in a rattle can.
Prep is important here. You have to scuff it really well or else it will flake off pretty quickly. Paint doesn't stick well to shiny surfaces.The best one-stop shopping for German car parts and lifestyle: http://www.gutenparts.com/Comment

FYI, it's not chrome, it's clean anodized aluminum. Same with diving board bumpers.Comment
