I was researching all the different combinations I'd consider thoroughly last night. All of the speeds achieved in each gear with every setup are listed below along with highway cruising RPMs.
I assume running it out to 7000 rpm. 24 inch stock diameter tires assumed unless it says 24.7 (about a 245/45/16 or 245/40/17, 275/35/17 etc.).
ZF320:
2.93: 40.7, 69, 102, 138, 171. 2460 @ 60, 3280 @ 80.
24.7 inch tire: 41.8, 70.5, 106, 141, 175. 2390 @ 60, 3190 @ 80.
Getrag 420g:
2.93 = 39.6, 67.3, 102, 139, 171, 206. 2040 @ 60, 2720 @ 80.
24.7 in tire = 40.7, 69, 106, 142, 175, 211. 1980 @ 60, 2650 @ 80.
3.15 24.7 in tire = 37.8, 64.1, 98, 133, 164, 197. 2130 @ 60, 2830 @ 80.
G420G + 3.25 = 35.7, 60.7, 93, 125, 154, 186. 2260 @ 60, 3010 rpm @ 80.
24.7 in tire: 36.7, 62.5, 95, 129, 159, 191. 2200 @ 60, 2920 @ 80.
I think a 3.15 + 420g is the most OEMy ideal personally, mostly because 2.93 6 speed is almost exactly a ZF with an overdrive and the 3.25 is only using 1st gear for tire smoking with highway gears not much taller than a simple ZF on the freeway. The 60-120 run on that setup looks thrilling though.
Hope this makes a choice easier for somebody in the world.
