    M52/ZF with 2.79 LSD?

I recently picked up a 2.73 LSD for a fairly good deal, and I'm switching my 24v setup from getrag to ZF.

Will the m52 be gutless with the 2.73?
    Or is it useable?

It'd be good for going on long drives/road trips, but if you're going to the track or trying to race somebody it may not be ideal. It could be worse though, my current options are a medium case 3.73 open or a small case 4.10 lsd.

Yeah. For normal driving that rear end ratio might the best there is.

I had a 2.93 with ZF and it was good for highway but slow off the line. I changed to a 3.25

depends on tire size too but it would likely be a little longer than stock ZF gearing but not bad for keeping rpm down cruising.

            I'm running 16' wheels on a 205/45 tire.
So I'm going to guess that's an ideal setup to run with a longer ratio diff.

              ZF(1:15th) with a 2.93 ~~ G260(0.81 5th) with a 3.73.

ZF with a 2.79 would be roughly like a G260 with a 3.46 if that helps you visualize...

Good for road/highway use, not ideal for autox.
