Hi there
Read here for a while and thought is was time to register and properly introduce myself
Here we go .. I am a 38 year old e30 and e21 enthousiast
Why do I like them .. they still give you the true feel of real driving .. no safety features, no driving aids like traction control etc. and they are damn easy to work on.
My first car back in 1994 was a manual bronzit e30 320i
this one
it ended like this in 2012
I then bought myself a 1984 323i from the south of France to replace it
.. this was a first owner car with 456.000km on the clock. She still ran fine but I played with the idea to build me a fast road e30
so i swapped the engine with a tuned 2.7 stroker with 206hp and 272nm of torque , stiffened up the suspenion, bolted in a short 4.10 diff
old 2.3 engine
2.7 stroker
it now looks like this
she still goes well
Every time I drive it she puts a big smile on my face .. get a lot of thumbs up and some modern bmw drivers wonder why they lost a traffic light sprint from this old lady :pimp:
My 2nd e30 is a 1989 325i convertible .. completely stock except the wheels and suspention .. I bought it as a parts car and completely assembled it during the winter of 2011/2012
how I bought it
how it looks now
my 3rd bmw is a non e30 .. its an e21 hartge ..
this car is equipped with the complete Hartge kit for e21 and has all the correct paper work from the hartge factory in Germany
reworked cilinder head n°0688
complete hartgte exaust + headers
hartge front spoiler
hartge bbs/momo steering wheel
Hartge gear knob
Hartge bilstein B8 dampers
Hartge striping
Lsd
dog leg box
She puts out 173hp after 32 years so I lost 7hp along the way
last car in this introduction is a non bmw
My wifes dreamcar .. a vw corrado 1.8 16v
How I bought it
and how it looks after a good polish
the special thing bout this one .. look at the maintenance history
she really has no more than ...
.. in 24 years
Enough for my first post .. will open independend topics about every car in the near future ;)
Hope to have a great time on this forum
