SOLD
Hey R3v,
I have a very original (has an aftermarket deck) 1989 325i Sedan.
Specs:
1989 325i
4 door sedan
Zinno on Tan comfort interior
Original 199,000 mile M20 with automatic transmission
Stock bottlecaps
Fully functioning cold AC
No serious modifications
Clean, notarized AZ title
No chassis rust (there was some surface rust on the two rear muffler hangers, but I removed it with a wire wheel). The car has been a southern Cali and AZ car its entire life (carfax verified).
The car currently has 199,000 miles but the PO replaced the non functioning odometer with a working one from another E30 which displays 68,000 miles. I have the old gauge cluster that I will include with the sale. The car DOES NOT have 68,000 miles. The interior is in excellent shape, apart from 5 to 6 cracks in the dash.
As you can see in the pictures below, the car is very very close to stock. Everything functions as it should, including the AC and it still has the factory plastic 'skid plate' as well. The engine bay has not been modified, and all of the original components are still installed.
Recent maintenance:
- Interior carpet professionally cleaned via a local carpet cleaning company
- Contitech timing belt and water pump (metal impeller) were done less than 500 miles ago.
- New oil filter housing gasket to fix the lone oil leak
- New exhaust manifold gaskets
- New inner and outer tie rods, with boots and locking plates. Had an alignment less than 500 miles ago. Car tracks straight and is solid on the freeway
- Recent 7 step detail to the entire exterior, trim included.
- Brand new OEM hood and trunk roundels (phew, pricey)
- New battery (< 1 year old)
- New vacuum hoses for just about the entire engine
- New spark plugs, oil, and coolant less than 500 miles ago.
The car does have a few small issues:
- The PO replaced the front drivers fender with a zinno one from a convertible due to it having a dent. The color matches very well but the bottom connection to the body pinch is not perfect.
- The drivers seat was beyond trashed when I got the car. Tears and missing foam, and the seat frame was damaged. I removed it and tossed it. I swapped the bottom to the passenger seat. So the car is missing a passenger seat at the moment.
- Neither rear window goes down. I have tracked power all the way to the window motor, but stopped there.
- There is a ding on the drivers rear door (shown in pics below) and a smaller ding on the trunk lid
- The rear passenger bumper impact trim is cracked/broken off slightly
- The front valance has no lip and there is a small bend in the very front center
- The auto trans selector handle is broken
Mechanically the car needs nothing, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it on a long road trip. The car is very OEM and very comfortable to drive. Auto trans shifts very well. Great little car, but I just can't get excited about the 4 door-ness of the car.
I am willing to work with shipping the car, if need be. Can also pick up a potential buyer locally.
My asking price is 2,300 USD. Pretty firm on the price, as this is what I have into it since purchasing it just a little while ago.
Thanks for looking.
- Mike
