Inner ball joints - we *are not* screwed

Lemforder doesn't make them anymore. Moog, which I never ordered and was sure just a rebrand, is out of stock everywhere I've looked. I'm looking for 2 to build a set of new arms for the rallycross car.

It looks like brand new control arms for nearly $400 a piece are our only option. I guess start hoarding them now.

There seems to be a brand called NK wich also make the inner ball joints. although I have no idea about the quality.. part no NK5041512

So pretty much everybody in this forum fits that category. Nothing wrong with stating the obvious but the way you said it just struck me as funny.

Also there is always ways around things. Is there anything special about the ball joint? Can one not just buy a ball joint out of a catalog and get it pressed in?

I know the some internet posts suggest you have to replace the entire arm, but the internet is very often wrong. Annoyingly the posts i have found that say you can replace just the ball joints are lacking in detail.

Have you bought them and used them? A lot of suppliers say 325ix compability but its not true. I may just buy whole new arms from BMW.

I have not bought these.
I just checked their online catalogue and searched for the ball joints for both the ix and a regular 325i and I got 2 different part numbers. So I assume these are different ball joints too. (5041512 325ix and 5041502 325i)
