    Keys copied?

Noob question here, my local walmart couldn't copy my BMW key, would an auto parts store or hardware store do it? or does bmw guard their key molds so you have to go to them for copies?

locksmith is the only way to do it (other then the dealer)

Most retail establishments use the Axess key copier, which does not do many (if any i think) German automobiles.

my ACE can do it (as they copy the key directly, not using an insert thing crap).

I got a couple of oem blanks from ebay and went to my local hardware store and they copied them for free on their manual machine.
