    And you saved 9 cents. Ben Thongsai told me about this years ago to solve a high idle problem on a 1984 318i.

      Got the surging axle fixed, I had a throttle body hose connected to the intake boot. Plugged that hose and idle is not surging but now the idle is rough. What do you guys think, here is a video of it

        If the tps is working properly, it signals the icv to do its job, so, the icv might not be getting that signal. Check tps then icv. Also, when you unplug the icv your idle should jump to 2000rpms right away, if this doesn't happen then I'd suspect the icv is seized up in its closed position.
        My son has the 1987 325e, 2 door, 5speed
        I daily the 1989 325i, 4 door, 5speed
