          My suggestion: No skirts.

Notice none of those other alpina cars pictured had skirts, keep it that way.

I was thinking about that Charlie but I have already screwed that up by putting that apron on it.

I will most likely put all my resources toward the engine before I worry about the skirts.

Have you measured how far the lip is from the ground? Now that I fixed my Rieger lip its just a tick over 4" off the ground.

exactly 5". I took it through all my worst case scenarios today and I had at least 1/2" on the worst grade change I ever have to go through. I may still commision Ryan to make me a small splitter just to have something to sacrifice.

Gonna take it off tommorow so my dad can take it down to Wichita to get painted.

You live in Kansas how many hills can there be? Your car looks awsome. I dont care for the the big bumpers but the euro look you have going makes your car so unique. You should come out to California for the Oktoberfest in July 2004. I would love to see your car. cheers

Thanks, I hope to take you up on that offer. Once I get the engine in I am going to start prepping this car as a showcar and try and get a rough 318is as a tracker. That car is just too clean to risk much longer, plus my mods will put me in a tough class and I'm not that good a driver.

Its not the hills I worry about, tis the potholes you could drown in.

Wow, I think you're the first person here to say that. Almost everyone else thinks they're hot shit.

Shit, I'll own up to that title. I couldn't even control my car's understeer in the wet. Now it's gone.

As soon as i get my next car, I am going to driving school.

Yeah, well, I am starting to get more into autocross since its nice and cheap and Id think that a 318is would be the best platform for my driving style (plus I keep getting my ass kicked by one). I'll probably still use my Eta on club events because there is plenty of run off at Heartland and the higher speeds will be fun in the S52. That is the only track I can beat this guy in the 318is because of the longer straights.
