    Sudden surging

Thursday I replaced air filter and spark plugs, drove 50 miles on friday, no issues. This a.m. I go to drive and I am getting a small 200 rpm idle surge. No loose hoses, any ideas?

You may have cracked the intake boot while taking off the filter. Get some brake cleaner and spray around the intake to see if a vacuum leak is the cause.

good thought, it was very stiff and hard to reattach.

Also, no clamp between intake tube and suction tube.

Took air box out and then added a rubber boot/clamp between suction tube and intake boot. Still seems to surge 3 or 4 times between 600-800 rpm then settles down at about 700.

The ICV may need a cleaning and some lubricant e.g., Triflow.
