    if the m50 head bolted to the m20 block easy peasy then in might be believable. since it doesnt then the casting was changed substantially and hence BMW have no reason to copy it
    89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

      There's a 24v head being built for the L-24/28 by a member on the Hybrid Z forums. He works and designs stuff like this for a living. He's been at it over a year but the first head is almost done.

      It's actually pretty incredible as he posts about each step and really gives you a peek at what it takes to build one. However it doesn't take anywhere near $250k

        if you do R&D , development testing and a few iterations it could easily id guess. it depends how much is designed from a blank sheet. if you have a starting point and all you do is relatively minor changes then yes its alot less work

          Lets bring this back.

          I am willing to put up 10k to make this happen.

          With a decent 3D printer and some modern 3D CAD, it shouldn't take 250k to finish up.

          These guys can do rapid low volume sand castings for under 5k.
