    The Las Vegas Crowd

Hey gents, I'm moving down to LV the end of June. Got a job with a commercial construction company and I'll be doing project management for them for probably 5 yrs or so.

If you're part of the e30 scene out there post up! I'm not hearing of enough stuff going on out there and I don't want to have to drive out to Cali on the weekends.

Congrats on the job! I see a couple of E30s here and there but i don't know if they're on R3v. I know Dbith57 and his crew have meets on wednesday nights. I don't really go to any because my work hours suck. lol

I know this is an old thread, but I was searching for locals and here I am. Long time bimmer fan who always worked on his friend's classics with them and just started his own first project.

As Jdirty said in a previous post: we meet up every Wednesday at 8pm to whenever, on Tropicana and Dean Martin at the In n Out. Eurosquad hosts the meets every week. The main group page is vegasbimmers on fb. Hope to see more of you out there!

My first e30 was a 327i turbo sedan. Now I have a 318is that's getting a m20 turbo swap. I have build threads for both cars. I'm hoping to get the 318 done by spring break

I guess I just like reviving old threads. Project took the back seat for a few months and I'm back on here again. Moving from the south side by Saint Rose over to Green Valley.

I have a '91 325i coupe I bought from the original owner. Well-maintained and twelve years of maintenance records to go with it. Right now I'm fixing odds and ends and gathering parts for a 5 speed swap.

There are occasionally a few E30's and E21's at Cars & Coffee on Saturday morning 8AM at Eastern and Richmar in Henderson. Some representation at the SCCA autocrosses, but not always. I'll be running my convertible in STX class (and getting slaughtered by Toyobaru 86's and turbo Minis) for the rest of the year once they go back to days. Was running my bone-stock 2.0L Madza3 hatch in AutoX while the E30 was down for work. And yes, the Mazda is faster. There's sometimes an E30 or two at Southwest Bimmers, Sin City BMW, and BMW's Only. All 3 shops are E30 friendly, know how to fix/mod them, and charge reasonable fees.

I think the thing about the vintage BMW scene in LV is a lot of us are crusty old dudes and not really into hanging out all the time. Let me know if you want to come out and AutoX; I'd be glad to share my car if you can kick in a few bucks for tire wear AND you're not a dick. Not that anyone on R3V is a dick, God forbid.
