eBay Purchase : Car is on the Transporter

So there I was, sitting at work, spotted a car and I won it.

How do I pay for it? USAA Loan? Hate to try PayPal.

Obviously going to ship it. Looked at quotes already on uShip.com

I still have a chance to inspect? Anyone in the area to do so?

    Talk to me.

so you bought a car on eBay, from the opposite side of the country, sight unseen, with no plan on how you would pay for it, ship it, and have not done a PPI..

I wish you the best, man.

It is a risk but I can handle it. Definitely a bit out there.. I am trying to secure another Dinan.. things there have been slowing down.. so I was on eBay just looking... and this came up. A few e-mails with the seller...and well.. things happen.

It is a weakness. My wife knows and loves me still. It is all good. Though, I do need to sell an '83 300SD super fast :-)

And in case it hasn't become obvious:

                    Well said.

Got to start somewhere. I get this type of line often in my profession and even personal life. Never did much car work but oil changes and a front half axle before... so I went for a motor swap with my ACS build. Shit, why not right?

Your math ain't computin'. Sex on the brain.

I happen to have this car on the brain.

So spoke with the bank... escrow all the way. Seller provides copy of title and his info to bank. Bank confirms title is free and clear, able to transfer to me. Then I title it in my name.. funds go to him. I send out the truck to bring it to the right coast.

Seems easy enough. Been doing a lot of sleuthing. Already in touch with a former shop who may have worked on this car and Dinan Shop to get more details.
