1995 E36 M3 Street/DE/Track Car - Norcal, Clean Title
The time has come for me to part ways with my 95 m3 track car. This car is fully capable and has been a labor of love for the past 8 years.
The car currently has 151k miles on it. It is on a clean non op CA title. The car will pass smog with installation of the original cat and stock muffler which I have. It's a bit of work to do this but I can complete the request if the buyer is in California and indeed wants the smog and registration done prior to receiving the car.
I am the 4th owner. I bought the car purley stock in San Diego in 2009 with 136k miles on it. While I have had the car it has spent most of it's life in LA from 09-2014. From 2014 until now it's been with me up in the bay area. Clean carfax, absolutely no rust. Other states the car was registered in were Texas and Florida. I have full documentation of my parts and work done including a spreadsheet of over $25k invested since I bought it.
Full Disclosure:
Car has been having what seems to be a head gasket problem for the past couple events. Symptoms are experienced while driving the car hard at events. While on the street at normals speeds like to and from the track the car does not overheat. At the last 2 events I can run 20 minute sessions before it will start to run hot. I then have to pit and cool it off 40-50 minutes until the next session. It typically will begin to run hot again toward the end of the next session. The car has full power, but this is obviously not sustainable. The cooling issue will have to be addressed. Head Gasket is the informal but likely diagnosis.
Car operates at full power. No white smoke, no chocolate milk in the oil. This is the original S50 with original head gasket.
Please see the next post for ALL parts and services. I also have a lot of parts for sale separately or can be included as a deal. The price and descriptions of the spare parts are in that post as well.
I documented many parts of the build of this car on a blog. While my obsession has remained the time has waned. Just about everything ever done to this car is in here. Feel free to take a look. The most recent posts are probably the most important as things changed over time.

Here is footage of the last track day I did with the car. Even with the HG problem I want to show the car's capability. This is one lap of a track day at Sonoma in November 2015. Sorry for the shaky camera and angle, just an iphone attached to the roll bar.

I plan to update the thread with descriptive sale photos once I get it cleaned up. Hopefully in the next couple weeks. For the time being please see images in this flickr album.
