I need to replace my driveshaft

The u-joint is bad and I don't have the time to weld a new tube and yoke on it. What's the best option? I was told I could get an inner clip u joint possibly? Anyone have any info on that?

The u joints are not serviceable unless your drive shaft has been modified. Either buy a rebuilt from someone like Driveline Services or by a used one (which I happen to have form my 87 Cabrio auto trans)

I rebuilt the drive shaft on a 318is recently. I used e28 ujoints. There is a write up on bimmernut.com in the 5 series section.
You need some tools and a bit of patience. I modified a fixture on a wood turning lathe to balance it and it turned out quite nicely for under $100.
