    M52 cylinder wall damage question

So I recently had a head gasket blow There was A considerable amount of coolant entering cylinders three and four
    The bore looks like this

    How bad is it.
Can I run a ball hone on it with the piston in the block?

When I did a compression test before pulling it apart
    My numbers were
    #1 120
    #2 120
    #3 130 coolant in cylinder
    #4 120
    #5 95
    #6 120
    EEEEEEEDK
How bad is it and is it runnable ?

    #2
Are you taking the piss? No, you can't hone with the motor assembled. You wouldn't reach all ring surface areas and would leave massive amounts of hone grit and iron swarf in the bores to quickly destroy what is left.

Those bores look like hell but what you are seeing is probably mostly superficial.

120 comp number is low, but consistent with the exception of No5. I'd pull the block, hone, new rings, check bearings, bores and piston clearance and go from there.
