    New guy here! - 1992, 318i Convertible

So, been lurking for a while now. Thought i'd set up my own build thread because i'm quite inexperienced when it comes to cars. I could really do with some advise. :X

I've had my 318i for about a year now i guess, bought is mostly stock (not mentioning the dodgy stuff the previous owner has done) and i'm now in a state of mind of getting it pretty enough to sell so i can buy a non-convertible model

    What i've done so far:

    - New door handle trim
    - cold air intake
    - bought a hardtop
    - (new) carpet
    - new ashtray (previous owner wrapped everything in burberry
    - spacers all round
    - euro clock install (messed up my cluster :?)
    - alarm delete
    - cleaned up the engine bay

    My to-do list:

    - fix rust (get a MIG welder and angle grinder)
    - paint roof
    - paint bumpers (black)
    - get OEM carpet
    - fix cluster
    - repair wheels
    - replace some bushings here and there
    - new windshield
    - fix softtop
    - fix leaking softtop rubbers

The build will go slowly because i dont have alot of money to spare, but i'll try to upload a small fix once a week or so.

    So here she is!

    Carpet install

And here are some pics from when i installed the carpet. I just got some grey carpet from a roll, some sound insulation, and started cutting and fitting until it sorta looked good :)

    Dodgy rust fix x)

And here is some of the old dirty stuff i pulled out a few weeks back. The burberry wrapped door handle trim and ashtray, Still need a shift-boot to replace the burberry one with a simple black leather one.
