This swap is applicable for all e30s? Have you put into consideration that fact that 318's and 325's came with different transmissions? Also, I believe early and late model e30s are ever so slightly different (I think the difference is mounting holes, or something along those lines)

Edit: Just by eye balling it, that trans looks like a g240, (318 trans)

I have a pair of M10 G240s and two M42 G240s sitting in my garage at the moment. The one in that pic above doesn't look like either of them. IDK what it is, but unless the appearance changed drastically, it's not a 240.

btw, M10 G240 won't bolt up to an M42, and vice versa. I doubt either will bolt up to a 6-cyl. The driveshafts are different lengths as well.

I would say this swap here is probably only applicable for 6-cyl cars....not M10/M42 cars. But I've been wrong before.

also, what is that shifter console. Not the aluminum one on later cars. Also not the sheet-metal one from early G240s. This stuff must be out of an early ETA, I'm thinking.

Also, the 4-cyl cars have the reverse switch on the passenger side. This one has it on the driver's side.
