this thread is just too funny. the irony on this site is overflowing. i just recently replaced my oil pan b/c my old one has stripped drain plug threads, and the new on i put on was powdercoated black.
now like 2 months later, i look down there, and the whole bottom front is scratched to hell. this is pretty scary, time to mod an off road skid plate to fit an e30...IG: @Baye30

Half the cooling fins on my oilpan are gone then again i have less 2 inches of ground clearance.
It is still holding oil so i consider myself lucky. I put paint on mine so that I can check for sure to see if I have drug the oilpan. If the paint is gone a I know to look closely with a flashlight and make sure there are no fractures :twisted: I can design and fabricate skid plates if there is a real interest I already have plans to make one for my car
