I've actually wanted to buy a skidplate for a long time, the E30 oilpan is too low for comfort. Where can I get one?

this thread is just too funny. the irony on this site is overflowing. i just recently replaced my oil pan b/c my old one has stripped drain plug threads, and the new on i put on was powdercoated black.
now like 2 months later, i look down there, and the whole bottom front is scratched to hell. this is pretty scary, time to mod an off road skid plate to fit an e30...

              I'd buy it.

Of course I also think I'd go around a cement block too.

On an offramp? Where are you going to 'go around' it?

                  Any way I could?
Maybe be a good sumeritan and pull over and move it?
I don't know, I don't see too many on the road.

Half the cooling fins on my oilpan are gone then again i have less 2 inches of ground clearance.
It is still holding oil so i consider myself lucky. I put paint on mine so that I can check for sure to see if I have drug the oilpan. If the paint is gone a I know to look closely with a flashlight and make sure there are no fractures  I can design and fabricate skid plates if there is a real interest I already have plans to make one for my car

Skid plates would be a seller for sure, as long as they were sold at a reasonable rate

Yeah it's not too hard to sell them worth more then say my cars.
So they have to be on the cheaper side of things for most to buy I bet.

I don't think I'd cheap out if they were quality though.
