    SOLD

Just in time for the summer - a clean e30 with low mileage and tons of extras. This is a babied, garage kept, non-smoking one owner car. We purchased it new at Weatherford BMW in 1987.

I swapped in the engine from a newer E36 series M3. This S52 engine swap was done with an obsessive attention to detail. I spent over $12,000 and 6 months putting in all new gaskets, sensors, filters, plugs, seals etc both externally and under the valve cover. The ZF320 transmission and 3.23 LSD were both professionally rebuilt and the e30 m3 drive shaft is a remanufactured unit as well.

The engine swap has been refereed in California with a CARB approval sticker. That means this car can be smog tested at a regular test station like any other car with no hassle or under the table dealings, and passes flawlessly.

Selling this car is a really difficult decision for me. I have a lot of work in it but unfortunately I simply don't have time for it anymore. In the last 3 years I have only driven it a couple hundred miles, so I'm looking to sell it to the someone who will take care of it and enjoy it.

    Frequently Asked Questions...
I have been getting these questions a lot. Please keep in mind that this is a custom car, so part of the fun is customizing it to what you want. Some people want four seats, other people love the windscreen. There are trade-offs in almost everything.

Can rear seats be put in?
Absolutely. The mounting pieces for rear seats are still there - the cover can be removed in about 20-30 minutes. I have the seat belts but not the seats. I can help you find rear seats if you need them.

Do you have the stock hood?
The carbon fiber was added to offset the weight of the engine swap (about 40-50 lbs). Hoods are large and heavy so I didn't keep it, but carbon fiber can easily be painted to look "stock" if you don't care for it. The contours and lines in the hood look exactly like the original.

    Does it have AC?
The AC is not currently installed. It was never really a priority for me in our Bay Area climate, and does add about 50 lbs to the front of the car. This is a common swap and many people have and do run AC on it. I will include the AC compressor and help you get set up with the right info to put AC in if you want it.
