Continuing the build. Turbo M50 Drift/Track/Fun car.

As some of you know, I purchased Dominic49's car a few months ago.

    This one:

The car is amazing! It's been well built and can take all sorts of abuse.

I bought the car in February, and I've been prepping it and learning it since. My first event in the car will be coming up soon, so I'm very excited for that!

I haven't really had to do much to the car since school/work is in the way, but I've mostly sorted little electrical gremlins and cleaned up some of the wiring.

My ultimate goal is to make the car a bit more streetable (Although it's already quite tame), and to just do some cleaning up to the car overall. I plan on picking up a LSD soon and doing a few HPDE's as well as drift events. It has a welded diff currently which has proven to be a lot of fun on the street :-D

    Step 1: Buy more tires!

She makes a pretty decent truck ;)

I picked up a Sparco Evo 2 since it only had a driver seat when I bought it.

I snapped a few pictures today:

    More to come! :)

        Nice!

IMO, get in touch with Wanganstyle on the forum and have him build you a proper drift diff like he did me, a stock LSD wont hold up very long behind all that power and abuse (ask me how i know)

That car looks like a lot of fun! That e-brake lever is the business.

Well the car has been great! I've driven 2 events with the car and I'm signed up for a 3rd on the 30th.

Completely reliable at each event. I'll be driving it down 175 miles each way to the next event ;)

I added a nifty roll bar mounted steering wheel hook. (Don't mind the instagram filter)

A few pics from my last event

            Coming soon......

                  Thanks! It's a BMP RS1 bumper.

I stole it off this car in the junkyard while on vacation

I took the Zender sideskirts and Pfeba spoiler too. Not because I want them, but because I didn't want to see them crushed.

                    Well, another event down!

I drove the car 175 miles each way to the event, and then I drifted all day with no problems!

                    On the road...

                    Sliding around...

And then the skies decided to open up. It poured for at least an hour. I don't have much experience with drifting in the wet, so this was a challenge. Still fun though! Wish it would've stayed dry. This is the third time in a row it's rained at this track!!

                    And headed back home.

I definitely feel like I'm making big progress now since I can focus less on general car control and more on technique. I went full lock to full lock a few times, and I definitely feel like I could use more steering angle. That may be a real possibility in the future...

                    Thanks for reading!

I've finally gotten around to installing door panels. The car is much more livable on the street now! I love the color combo of these door panels. Saved them out of the junkyard ;)

The install was a bit of pain, but well worth it. The door bars really get in the way...

So some modification to the map pocket was needed. Pretty proud of this :)

I haven't gotten around to the driver side yet...Still better than a mirror adjustment switch flopping around.

The car started handling strangely after my last drive. The steering wheel isn't wanting to return to "on center" and I heard an audible clanking noise.

                      I found this:

However, the "return to on-center" steering problem persists....I'll have to get under the car further to figure it out.

And finally my $3 Ebay China roundel mod
