uneven, blotted, improper curing, etc. The wrinkle pattern should be small and uniform, not small, medium, large, and all oddball looking.

...and your intake manifold painted black wrinkle finish looks good? Oh and the corny/tasteless roundel on top of it looks good too but my wrinkle finish is oddball looking, YOU ARE SHOT OUT bro.

I think he mentioned that because you put the filter on even though it should not go on yet because you have to attach the oil cooler
Yea man, leave the oil cooler, exhaust and intake ports open to have shit and debris fall into them!

oil pressure sensor mounted to the block?
post a dyno plot after its installed please.
Exactly, oil filter was on there so I didn't have a huge gaping hole for people to stuff their trash into...I'll be using my original oil pressure sensor until I buy some guages.

I understand the concept of keeping a motor clean while it's on the stand, I just figured that's why it got mentioned.

As far as the wrinkle paint goes, looks fine to me. My motor is fucking bright blue and you can hardly see it after everything is installed so I doubt anyone is going to notice a little uneven kirnkle paint, lol

I'm sorry, but I"m going to have to agree with Jordan. That wrinkle paint looks like shit around the edges of the "stripes". It's all goopy and uneven like he said. The rest looks alright though.

And as far as your comment about the roundle on top of his intake manifold, what is tasteless about puting a roundel over a roundel that is already there? The only difference is that it is colored and is more "3D".

Damn you guys love to tongue Jordan's balls ;)
As I said earlier, the wrinkle paint is fine, this car is nowhere near being
concours, it's a 16 year old car with dents and rust so the edges around the ribs on my valve cover are uneven you say, oh well...
I still and will always say the cheap looking roundel on top of his intake
                          manifold is tasteless and cheesey.

Looks really good man, I think its funny just how many people care about the wrinkle paint application on the fucking valve cover thats under the hood when you werent even bragging about how its the best or anything. Some people can be dicks. Do you have the specs of the motor posted anywhere? Which crank, etc.?
