We can work something out. You'll keep us from speeding! LOL.

I don't know what the out of towners normally do but Myster-E and I decided to book a hotel room. I know James offers space at his house but it's minimal and I don't feel like sleeping on the grass. :D It's roughly 1100 miles from my house to James' house so we'll be leaving very early Friday the 26th and getting in to the hotel late Friday night. That will leave Saturday to relax and then attend the party. Sunday we'll enjoy the picnic and stay that night as well to travel home Monday.

If anyone else is looking for a place to stay I did a bunch of research and decided on the Best Western at the Tacoma Dome. Prices are reasonable and it's actually a decent place. They also have a gated parking garage which I thought was great. I used a corporate code (00322510) thanks to some online research that gave me the best rates I could find anywhere online.

              Here's the hotel:

                No X5 diesel though haha.
My tow car only has room for 3.

If anyone from the bay wants to carpool please let me know.

Matt I like the idea. How many others from SoCal usually go? This will be my first trip and I look forward to it!

I really don't know. Most of the CA attendees are from NorCal I think.

                    I haven't been since 2007.

I wanna say there was one guy from socal last year and about 5 from norcal.
it's a long ass haul up there. OR has constant road work that backs up 5 for miles.
if you have a nice exhaust bring earplugs, my stromung made my ears ring for hours after the drive.
but yes it is the best event I've ever attended for cars.

2 years ago I left Newport Beach at 2am Saturday and made it up to Tacoma around 8pm. Tried to do the ride back in one shot on Sunday after the Picnic but there was no way, ended up taking the PCH back and made it home Monday night. I'm looking forward to not having to cram this years trip into a weekend.
