Driveshaft/mount question: swapping ZF Trans from an E36 M3 into my M42 318iS

I have a 318iS that I'm swapping an E36 ZF Manual Transmission into. I've been searching and I can't find any details on this. Will I need a stock driveshaft from an E36 M3, or will the stock driveshaft from the M42 drivetrain fit?

I'd appreciate any references or links you can share as well!

    Thanks :)

Wild- assed guess? I don't think either will work.

But I'm basing that on the 240 being very different to the zf, and the e30 being very different to the e36...

A 4-bolt E36 M3 driveshaft will work just fine, once the CSB is changed out.

Only a large giubo E30 driveshaft from an M3, or certain early 325s will work.
